Can you schedule posts on LinkedIn?

Yes. LinkedIn's post window has a Clock icon that schedules a post instead of publishing it, on desktop and in the mobile app. On your profile you can schedule from 10 minutes to 3 months ahead. On a company Page it is 1 hour to 3 months ahead, and only super admins and content admins can do it.

Some posts can't be scheduled. On a profile LinkedIn names Events and Jobs. On a Page the list is longer: events, multiple photos, reshares, polls, jobs and service posts. Articles and newsletter editions have their own Clock icon next to Publish, on desktop only.

Short answer Start a post, click the Clock icon, pick the date and time, click Next, then Schedule. To find it later, open Start a post again, click the Clock icon and choose View all scheduled posts.

How to schedule a LinkedIn post

On desktop:

  • 1. Click Start a post at the top of your feed and write the post.
  • 2. Click the Clock icon in the post window.
  • 3. Pick a date and time. You can type an exact time instead of using the 30-minute steps.
  • 4. Click Next, then Schedule. A “post scheduled” message confirms it.
In the app Tap Post in the bottom bar, write the post, tap the Clock icon at the top right, choose the date and time, then tap Next and Schedule. LinkedIn uses your phone's or computer's time zone.

How to find scheduled posts on LinkedIn

LinkedIn doesn't put scheduled posts on your profile or in a menu of their own. They are inside the post window:

  • Desktop: click Start a post, click the Clock icon, then click View all scheduled posts at the bottom of the Schedule window.
  • App: tap Post, tap the Clock icon, then tap View all.
  • Company Page: open the Page's admin view, choose Page posts in the left menu, click Start a post, click the schedule icon, then View all scheduled posts. In the app, tap Dashboard, then Page posts, then Post, the icon and View all.
Quick check When something is queued, the Clock icon shows a small badge with the number of scheduled posts, so you can see at a glance that a post is waiting.

How to edit, reschedule or delete a scheduled post

  • Change the time or the text: in the scheduled posts list, click the More icon on the post, then Modify schedule or Edit post.
  • Cancel it: click the Delete icon next to the post and confirm. A deleted post can't be recovered.
  • Publish it now (Pages): Page admins also get a Post now option, and can manage posts scheduled by other admins on the same Page.

Where LinkedIn's scheduler stops

  • LinkedIn only. The same idea has to be written again for X, Instagram, Threads and the rest, each in its own length.
  • No calendar. Scheduled posts sit in a list inside the post window, so it's hard to see your week at a glance.
  • Some formats are out. Events and Jobs on a profile, and on a Page also polls, reshares and posts with several photos.

How to schedule LinkedIn with your other networks

Disclosure: PersonaXpand is our product. You write the post once, choose LinkedIn and any of the other networks you use (Instagram, Facebook, X, Threads, YouTube, TikTok, Bluesky), and set the time. Each network gets its own version, so the LinkedIn post can run long while the X one fits in 280 characters. It publishes to your LinkedIn profile through LinkedIn's official API.

Posts scheduled in an outside tool live in that tool's calendar, not in LinkedIn's scheduled list, so look for them there. Check the length first with the LinkedIn character counter.
