Can you still turn on Creator Mode?
No. In March 2024 LinkedIn removed the Creator Mode on/off switch from profiles, and a month earlier it had dropped the profile hashtags that came with it. The tools Creator Mode used to unlock were made available to members by default. If a guide gives you steps to switch it on, it was written before 2024.
Where Creator Mode's features went
- Newsletters: every member can create one. See how to start a LinkedIn newsletter.
- Follow as the main button: you can still show Follow instead of Connect on your profile, from your visibility settings.
- Analytics: post and audience analytics are on your profile and posts for members who share content.
- LinkedIn Live and audio events: no longer tied to a switch; access depends on LinkedIn's own eligibility rules.
- Profile hashtags: removed in February 2024 and not replaced.
What actually grows a LinkedIn presence now
Without a switch to flip, it comes down to the posts: a steady rhythm, a clear opening line in the first 140 or so characters before “see more”, and answering the comments you get.
Disclosure: PersonaXpand is our product. It writes your LinkedIn posts in your own voice from your own past writing, schedules them for when your audience is active, and sends versions to X, Threads and your other networks. LinkedIn doesn't open comment replies to outside tools, so those stay with you. Check length with the LinkedIn character counter.
