Can you schedule posts on Facebook?
Yes, for free. A Facebook Page can schedule posts in Meta Business Suite, on a computer or in the Business Suite app, between 20 minutes and 29 days ahead. Anyone with Facebook access or task access to the Page can create and edit them, and times follow your own time zone.
Meta's help also describes scheduling for profiles in professional mode, from the Facebook app. Group admins and moderators can schedule posts inside a group. Meta is testing paid Meta One plans that schedule up to a year ahead, in some countries only.
How to schedule a Facebook post on a computer
- 1. Open Meta Business Suite and choose your Page.
- 2. Go to Content, then click Create post.
- 3. Write the post and add photos or video.
- 4. Turn on the Scheduling options toggle and choose a date and time. Active times suggests when your audience is online.
- 5. Click Schedule.
How to schedule a Facebook post from your phone
- Meta Business Suite app: tap Content, choose the type (post, reel or story), tap Create, write it, tap Next, then Schedule for later and Schedule.
- Facebook app (Page or professional mode): tap What's on your mind?, write the post, tap Next to open the post settings, then Schedule for later.
How to see your scheduled posts on Facebook
- On a computer: in Meta Business Suite, open the Planner tab, or go to Content, then Posts & reels, then Scheduled.
- In the Business Suite app: tap Content, open the dropdown menu and choose Scheduled.
- In the Facebook app: tap Manage posts on your Page or profile.
- In a group: click Scheduled Posts in the Admin tools menu.
How to edit, reschedule or delete a scheduled post
In Meta Business Suite on a computer, open the post in Planner or the Scheduled list and use the options menu: Edit post, Duplicate post, Reschedule post, Move to drafts or Delete post.
The Facebook app is stricter: to change a scheduled post there, Meta says to delete it from Manage posts and create it again. If a scheduled post fails to go out, open Scheduled in Business Suite and click Publish now.
Scheduling Reels, Stories and group posts

- Stories: in Business Suite, choose Schedule under Scheduling options. A story can hold up to 10 photos or videos, and scheduled ones sit under Content, Stories, Scheduled.
