Page or profile: which link do you need?
- Instagram to a Facebook Page. Needed for Meta Business Suite, Facebook and Instagram ads, and one inbox for both. Your Instagram must be a professional (Business or Creator) account, and you need access to the Page.
- Instagram to your Facebook profile. Done in Accounts Center. It lets you share posts and Stories to both and log in with one account. It does not connect a Page.
How to link Instagram to a Facebook Page on a computer
- 1. Log in to Facebook, click your profile picture at the top, then See all profiles, and pick your Page.
- 2. Click the Page's profile picture, then Settings & privacy, then Settings.
- 3. Under Permissions, click Linked accounts.
- 4. Click Instagram, then Link account, and log in to Instagram to finish.
How to link Instagram to a Facebook Page in the app
- 1. In Instagram, go to your profile and tap Edit profile.
- 2. Under your public business information, tap Page (some versions say Connect or create).
- 3. Log in to Facebook if asked, choose your Page and confirm.
How to link Instagram to your personal Facebook profile
In Instagram, open Settings, tap Accounts Center, then Accounts, then Add accounts, and log in to Facebook. Once both are in Accounts Center you can choose to share Stories and posts to Facebook automatically and to log in with either account.
Why Instagram won't link to Facebook, and the fix
- Your Page isn't in the list. You don't have Facebook access to that Page. Ask an admin to give you full control of it, then try again.
- No Page option in Instagram. The account is personal. Switch to Business or Creator first.
- You see the wrong Page or account. Facebook used the profile you're logged in to. Log out, log in to the profile that manages the Page, and link again.
- It's linked to an old Page. Unlink it from that Page's Linked accounts first, then link the new one.
How to unlink Instagram from a Facebook Page
Go to the Page's Settings, Linked accounts, Instagram, then Unlink account and Yes, unlink. If you pay for Meta Verified on that Page and account, unlinking can cancel it.
Do you need the link to schedule Instagram?
