How to read this list
PersonaXpand is one of the ten, so read its row with the scepticism that deserves. The rest of the list is written to be useful anyway, which means saying plainly where Buffer, Metricool or a free native tool is the better choice.
A cross-posting tool is any app that takes one post and publishes it to several networks together. The ones below all do that. What separates them is coverage (which networks), control (can you edit each network's version), engagement (does it also handle the replies), and cost (is there a usable free plan). Paid prices are deliberately left out; they change monthly and every vendor publishes them.

Re-checked against each vendor's public site on 7 October 2026. "Not found" means the capability is not described on the vendor's site, not that it is certainly absent.
1. PersonaXpand
Best for: one brand, run by one person, that wants the post published everywhere and the comments answered without a second tool. Networks: Instagram, Facebook, X, LinkedIn, YouTube, Threads, TikTok and Bluesky. Standout: replies written for each specific comment, DM and mention in a voice trained on your own posts and sent for you, held for approval by default, on Instagram, Facebook, X, YouTube and Threads. It is also the quickest start here: three setup questions, then your first post is written for you, in an English or Arabic interface.
Cross-posting itself works the way this whole category should: write once, AI Optimize produces a version per network trimmed to its limit, edit any version or all at once, switch a platform off for that post, preview each, then publish now or at each network's best time from your own engagement history. Images and video are conformed per platform before sending.
Where it falls short: eight networks, so no Pinterest, Mastodon or Google Business Profile, and no team seats, client workspaces or white label. TikTok analytics are not yet available. Full detail on the supported platforms page.
2. Buffer
Best for: the widest network coverage on a plan that costs nothing. Networks: twelve, including Pinterest, Bluesky, Mastodon, Substack and Google Business Profile. Standout: simplicity; the queue is the product and it has been refined for over a decade.
You write the post once, select every channel, customise per channel if you want, and schedule. Its inbox covers comments and offers AI-written suggestions that you send yourself. The free plan connects three channels with ten scheduled posts per channel and five AI reply suggestions a week, which is enough to learn whether the workflow fits.
Where it falls short: replies wait for you to send them, and pricing is per channel, so eight networks cost eight times the per-channel rate. If everywhere genuinely means everywhere, Buffer covers more of it than anything else here.
3. Metricool
Best for: people who care about the numbers as much as the posting. Networks: eleven, including Twitch, Pinterest, Bluesky and Google Business Profile. Standout: analytics and competitor tracking across every connected network, plus ads reporting in the same dashboard.
The planner schedules across all networks and lets you edit each network's version of a post; the inbox gathers messages and comments with one-click saved replies; an approval system and collaborators cover clients on paid plans. The free plan allows one brand with one profile per network and 20 posts a month, without LinkedIn or X.
Where it falls short: its automatic replies (Flows, on paid plans) are keyword scripts on Instagram and TikTok, not a reply written for each comment, and the free plan leaves out LinkedIn and X.
4. Publer
Best for: the cheapest test of three accounts. Standout: a free plan with three social accounts and ten scheduled posts each, at the cost of X being excluded from it. You can edit each network's version of a post.
Where it falls short: you can answer comments on your published posts with AI writing help, but you send each reply yourself, and a full inbox is a separate product (Kibo). Billing is per profile, which adds up quickly across eight networks.
5. Socialync
Best for: creators posting the same short video to TikTok, Reels, Shorts and the rest. Networks: nine, including Threads, Bluesky and Pinterest. Standout: one upload, one tap, with a caption per platform; five free posts a month on every platform except X, no card.
Where it falls short: the comment inbox and analytics sit on paid plans, X needs a paid plan too, and every reply is yours to write.
6. SocialPilot
Best for: agencies and multi-location brands. Networks: ten, including Pinterest, Bluesky and Google Business Profile. Standout: client approvals and white-label reporting; its cross-posting walkthrough includes an explicit adapt-per-network step.
Where it falls short: a 14-day trial, no free plan; approvals and white-label reports sit on the Premium plan, and it is built for rosters of client accounts rather than one brand.
7. Sendible
Best for: agencies that want the tool under their own brand. Networks: nine, including Google Business Profile and Bluesky. Standout: client connect (clients authorise accounts without sharing passwords), in-app approvals, white label, unlimited users on every plan.
Where it falls short: a 14-day trial only, white label is a paid add-on on the top plans, and automated replies are not described on its site.
8. Hootsuite
Best for: teams that need social listening and one shared inbox across Facebook, Instagram, WhatsApp, LinkedIn, X, TikTok and Threads. Standout: the deepest inbox in this list; keyword-triggered DM automations on Instagram.
Where it falls short: no free plan (a 14-day trial), priced per seat for teams, and keyword rules cannot answer a question they were not configured for. For one person it is a great deal of product to pay for.
9. Postiz
Best for: anyone who needs Reddit, Telegram, Discord, Mastodon or a self-hosted tool. Networks: thirty-plus channels. Standout: open source; run it on your own server, or use the hosted version with team roles.
Where it falls short: it can schedule comments but has no inbox; the hosted plan has a 7-day trial and no free plan; it is aimed at developers and automation teams rather than someone who wants a finished product.
10. Meta Business Suite
Best for: Facebook and Instagram only, at no cost. Standout: it is Meta's own tool, entirely free, with scheduling, customisation per placement, and an inbox with saved replies and keyword auto-replies.
Where it falls short: two networks, plus cross-posting a Facebook or Instagram post to Threads on desktop. The moment X, LinkedIn, YouTube or TikTok are in the plan, you are back to posting by hand there.
What to check before you choose any of them
- Does it let you edit each network's version? Identical text everywhere is the mistake that makes cross-posting look lazy. If the answer is no, you will end up rewriting in the apps anyway.
- Does it reshape the media? A landscape image cropped to a square, or a still sent to TikTok, fails silently in some tools and loudly in others.
- Does it use the official API? Every tool in this list does. Anything that asks for your password instead of a login screen on the network itself is a ban risk.
- Where do the replies go? If you post everywhere, comments arrive everywhere. Decide now whether the tool handles them or you will.
- Is the free plan a plan or a trial? Four of the ten offer a trial only. The table above says which.
