Enter a post's likes, replies and reposts, and get its engagement rate by views and by followers. No sign-up, and no X login.

Add quote posts here too if you count them.
Optional. Shown next to the analytics icon on the post. Not unique people.

By followers

What counts as engagement on X (Twitter)

  • X defines its engagement rate as engagements divided by impressions. Engagements include reposts, replies, follows, likes, link clicks, profile photo clicks and post expansions.
  • Because X counts clicks and expands, its native rate runs higher than a likes, replies and reposts rate on the same post. Say which one you report.
  • Views are the total number of times a post was viewed, not unique people. Anyone can see a post's view count.

Where to find these numbers on X (Twitter)

  • The view count sits next to the analytics icon on each post. Tap the icon for that post's analytics.
  • Likes, replies and reposts are shown on the post itself.
  • Your follower count is on your profile.

Measure it the same way every time

A rate is only comparable with itself: keep the same interaction types, the same denominator and the same window from week to week. The general engagement rate calculator explains the formulas in full.

X (Twitter) engagement rate FAQs

How do I calculate engagement rate on X?

Add the post's likes, replies and reposts, divide by its views and multiply by 100. Divide by followers instead if you want a number that does not swing with each post's reach.

Why is X's engagement rate higher than mine?

X counts every engagement, including link clicks, profile clicks and post expansions, and divides by impressions. This calculator counts the visible interactions only, so its rate is lower for the same post.

Are X views unique people?

No. X describes views as the total number of times a post has been viewed, so one person viewing twice counts twice.

Is a rate by views or by followers better on X?

By views tells you how a post landed with the people who saw it. By followers is steadier over time. Both are valid; use the same one every time.
