Can you schedule tweets for free?
Yes. Every X account can schedule posts on x.com from a computer, with no subscription. What changed is TweetDeck: it became X Pro, then moved behind a paid plan, and since March 26, 2026 it's only included with Premium+, X's most expensive tier. Guides that tell you to use TweetDeck for free scheduling are out of date.
How to schedule a post on x.com
- 1. Open x.com on a computer and log in.
- 2. Click Post (or the box at the top of your timeline) and write your post.
- 3. Click the schedule icon, the small calendar with a clock, under the text.
- 4. Choose the date and time and click Confirm.
- 5. Click Schedule. To see or change scheduled posts, open the composer again and look under unsent or scheduled posts.
Can you schedule tweets from the X app?
Not in the X app itself, which posts right away. On a phone, your options are the X website in a browser or a scheduling tool with its own app. X Pro has no phone app either.
TweetDeck, X Pro and Premium: what changed
- TweetDeck was free for years and was the usual answer to “how do I schedule tweets”.
- 2023: it was renamed X Pro and moved behind a paid X Premium subscription.
- March 26, 2026: X Pro moved again, to Premium+ only, X's top tier. The cheaper Premium plan no longer includes it.
- Today: the free route is the scheduler on x.com. X Pro is for people who already pay for Premium+.
Schedule X with your other networks, from any device
Disclosure: PersonaXpand is our product. Write the idea once on your computer or in the PersonaXpand app on your phone, choose X and any of the other networks it posts to, and set the time. The X version is kept inside 280 characters while LinkedIn or Threads get their own versions, and everything sits on one calendar instead of in X's composer.
Writing for two places at once? See how to post on LinkedIn and X at the same time, and check length with the X character counter.
